All You Need to Know
I.M.C.F Review
Right from the first scene, somehow this movie is very predictable. Maybe Sreenu Vaitla effect! Mahesh did very well as a powerful, manipulative and tactical cop. Dialogues are extremely well written and Mahesh's modulation made them totally entertaining. Thamannah is vaguely seen on screen and the few scenes she had were also not so great. For an extent, she seems to be totally unimportant to this film's story line. Shruti Hasan's song is well shot and made use of her well, though for a single song! Entertainment quotient is too high, but is utterly routine.
Plot: Encounter Shankar (Mahesh Babu) is a powerful CI with no breaks to his heels. He gets posted to a town which is being troubled by the clutches of Dhamu (Sonu sood) and his gang. As soon as Shankar takes charge, he begins to take out every single member of his gang separately. Soon, Shankar's hand reaches Dhamu as well. But Dhamu uses his criminal mind and influence to threat Shankar for suspension from his job. So, Shankar joins hands with Dhamu and his gang to take him out from being beside him. So the rest of the story is, how well does Shankar use Brahmanandam to take out each of Dhamu's gang members!
Most of the film runs under VFX, including the songs and back ground scenes of almost every scene. If it is a good sign that our Industry is developing wrt VFX, then - Job well done! Music is not too good, but the choreography is handled very well. That made the songs seem enjoyable. Screenplay is fine, though there are many unwanted scenes, which fall under entertainment and is hard to judge if it is needed or not!
Reasons to watch:
1. Mahesh's attitude filled action.
2. Engaging dialogues.
3. Pre interval scenes.
4. Entertainment quotient.
Reasons to skip:
1. Same old routine story of conning master minded Villains.
2. Same old Brahmanandam comedy of being a play toy in Hero's hands.
I.M.C.F Rating : 74/100

This film has many similarities of Srinu Vaitla’s earlier films, but it’s Mahesh Babu who has the audience’s attention throughout.
If Mahesh Babu manages to entertain the audience, it is likely to fare well at the box office.
It's Mahesh Babu all the way.
